regrets at the party

>> Sunday, March 8, 2009

There was a party on last Thursday with My all friends from the school where I am volunteering. The school is TESOL (Teaching English program) school, so there are some nationalities though, the school is very small. There are Korean, French, Belgium, Mexican and some immigrants originally from China, Iraq and America. I am only Japanese.

Whenever I have chance to talk to people from any other country, I feel so glad about I have been studying English and I can enjoy talking.

We have some times had a party together since we met this year at the school. I always have great time and I did this time too.

Yes, in fact, I had lot of fun at the party, but..I just feel regret about what I told one of my friends. He is from USA. He is such a fair guy. I never felt a barrier between us that I sometimes feel when I talk to western people. He is also such a entertainer and definitely a one of mood-makers in the school. So he is pretty much nice guy but not really acting for his age. For example, he never stop calling me "JAP" which I hate to hear. I got to know this is not a racist word. but I used to think so and many Japanese still take this word bad way. So I have asked him no to use the word before but he just doesn't take it serious. I wanna say..READ PEOPLE please! calling me "JAP" is not funny at all!! don't to try kidding me with the word.

I probably have had bad impression about him and I was pretty drunk at the time. When I saw third times him and his Japanese friend talking closely each other, sitting a small couch and he was holding her shoulders, I felt anger.

"Why this guy is talking so close to the girl? He has a long-tarm japanese girl friend and he is always saying I love her so much, I hate people cheating stuff. I never ever cheat on her! She is my only one. and now he is just flirting with a different japanse girl?!"

So I semply told him this.

He seemed mad and rushed back to her and came up to me, said "ASK her!!! she never meant to flirt with me!!!"

Of curse, Girls never admit such thing. "Yes, I meant to flirt with this guy who has a girl friend", especially Japanese girls! I know about Japanese girls, I am one of them. and she IS a Japanese! That's the point. If she ware not, I would not be care so much, I would think that could be culture difference. but when Japanese girl attitude like this toward a guy, it means something. I don't know about the Japanese girl and actually no matter there is actually the intention or not If I were his girl friend, I would be just jealous. That is the point.

That is what I thought at the party...but I now feel so regret I told him such a nosy thing. I probably give him apology next time I meet him..

That is totally him and her business. I used the ward of "flirt" which may be too Strong for I meant. "flirt" means they kissing or something? not only talking closely? maybe..I don't know. I would hate to see my boyfriend doing this anyways, even without kissing.

My idea is too square to some people but if you have a japanese girlfriend. maybe you should be carefull. I am pretty sure many girls in my country agree with my opinion.

mmmm...
